Boosting the Immune System:
An interview with the Chatham News and Record

2019 Chatham Health Tour

In the fall of 2019, Dr. Hollander and a group of colleagues in the alternative and complementary health care field organized the first Chatham Health Tour. The inaugural Chatham Health Tour (modeled after the Chatham Artist Guild Studio Tour) advertised the mission of educating the community in the area of health and healing. The self-guided tour included a group of eleven Chatham County health practitioners, therapists, healers, and vendors who opened their doors to visitors, many offering complimentary or discounted services in order to raise awareness of the dedicated and diverse health.care offerings in Chatham County.  Read this wonderful article by the Chatham News and Record in case you missed it! :

Opening Reception: Chatham Health Tour

The kick-off for the Chatham Health Tour was an opening reception held at the serene Joy Of Movement Studio. Delicious local food (paleo/gluten-free/vegan/keto) and health-boosting beverages were enjoyed by a large crowd. Following a social time, several of the participating Health Practitioners and their clients spoke about how complementary/alternative health care has positively impacted their lives.  You can watch Dr. Roxanne and her client in the following video:

Abundance NC's "Pecha Kucha"

Pecha Kucha (“the sound of conversation” in Japanese) is a quarterly storytelling event that brings people together to present and discuss new ideas around sustainability topics. Presenters each have 20 slides and 20 seconds per slide to discuss, which keeps the pace exciting. Each season, several people from the community give presentations that challenge people to think differently about conservation, the environment, climate change, health, and each other.

In July, Dr. Roxanne was invited to present her story on Health: Alternative and Complementary MedicineHealth, promoting the upcoming Chatham Health Tour. You can watch her presentation inspiring presentation here:
